Tracking Flights
How do I add a flight?
Select your departure and arrival airports using the search fields (IATA code, city name, or country). Choose your cabin class and airline, then click "Add Flight". For a return trip, switch the toggle to "Return" — both legs are added at once.
What is the "Via" stop?
If your itinerary has a connection (e.g. ZRH → FRA → JFK), click "+ Add Via" and enter the connecting airport. MileHunter splits the trip into individual segments and calculates points for each leg separately.
Can I add flights without a date?
Yes — the date field is optional. When left blank the flight is included in the currently selected qualifying year. For accurate year-filtering we recommend entering the travel date.
What is the CO₂ / SAF bonus?
Miles & More awards bonus status points when you book a flight with a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) contribution. The bonus ranges from +5 % to +80 % of your base points (and QP). The HON Circle bonus is capped at +20 %. This option only appears for Lufthansa Group airlines (SWISS, Lufthansa, Austrian, Brussels, etc.) and Eurowings (via PlanetBlu).
Can I edit or delete a flight?
Yes. Every entry in the flight log has an edit (✎) and a delete button. Editing reopens the full form so you can change the route, cabin, airline, date, or points; deleting removes the entry after a confirmation.
Can I exclude a flight without deleting it?
Use the pause (⏸) button on any entry to temporarily exclude it from your status totals. The flight stays in the log, greyed out, and you can resume (▶) it anytime — handy for cancelled or "what-if" flights.
Points & Status Levels
What are Miles & More status points?
Status points (pts) are the primary currency for reaching Frequent Traveller, Senator, and HON Circle status. Every eligible flight earns a fixed number of points based on your cabin class and whether the route is continental or intercontinental.
What are Qualifying Points (QP)?
Qualifying Points are a second requirement alongside status points — you need both to reach Senator or Frequent Traveller. QP are only earned on M&M partner airlines (Lufthansa Group, LOT, Croatia Airlines, Luxair, ITA Airways). Non-partner airlines earn regular status points but zero QP.
What are HON Circle Points (HCP)?
HON Circle Points are required to reach and maintain the exclusive HON Circle status (6,000 HCP per year). They are earned only in Business or First Class on QP-eligible airlines. The HON status card on the dashboard tracks your HCP progress separately.
What is the difference between continental and intercontinental?
A flight is continental when both airports are in the same M&M region (e.g. Europe → Europe, or Asia & Pacific → Asia & Pacific). When the two airports are in different regions the flight is intercontinental and earns significantly more points. North Africa (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya) counts as Europe for M&M purposes.
How many points does each cabin earn?
Economy: 20 pts continental / 60 pts intercontinental · Premium Economy: 20 / 80 · Business: 40 / 200 · First Class: 40 / 400. QP are equal to status points for QP-eligible airlines. HON Circle Points equal QP for Business and First Class only.
What are the status thresholds?
Frequent Traveller: 650 pts + 325 QP · Senator: 2,000 pts + 1,000 QP · HON Circle: 6,000 HCP (no QP requirement). All thresholds reset on 1 January each year.
Where can I find the official Miles & More points rules?
The official earning logic (Sammellogik) is published by Miles & More and covers all cabin classes, partner airlines, and status point rules in detail. View official points system →
Qualifying Year & Filters
What is the qualifying year?
Miles & More counts status points from 1 January to 31 December each calendar year. Points do not roll over — you start fresh every year. MileHunter defaults to showing the current year so your progress cards always reflect your real standing.
How does the year filter work?
The pill buttons above the status cards let you switch between years. Selecting a year filters the status cards, the timeline, and the flight log to only show and count flights from that period. Flights without a date are always included in the selected year.
Can I track multiple years at once?
Select "All" in the year filter to see your lifetime totals across all recorded years. Year buttons appear automatically as soon as you have flights with dates from more than one calendar year.
Importing Data
How do I import from the M&M portal? (Pro)
Open your Miles & More account, go to the Status Activities page, select all entries, and copy them. In MileHunter click "Import" → "M&M Portal Import", paste the text into the box, review the preview table, and confirm. Points, QP, and HON Circle Points are parsed automatically — including promotion bonuses.
How does the JSON backup work?
"Export" saves all your flights as a JSON file to your device. "Import" → "JSON Backup" restores from that file. Note: importing a JSON backup replaces all existing flights, so use it for migrations or fresh setups rather than as a sync mechanism.
What flight types appear in the log?
Three types: regular flights (calculated from route + cabin), bonus entries (manual point adjustments for promotions or status matches), and M&M Portal imports (parsed directly from your activity history). All three count toward your status totals.

Account & Privacy
Where is my flight data stored?
On the Free plan your flights are stored locally in your browser, so they never leave your device (and stay on that one browser). On Pro they sync securely to the cloud so you can reach them from any device.
I forgot my password — how do I reset it?
On the sign-in screen click "Forgot password?", enter your email, and we'll send you a reset link. The link is valid for one hour. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
How do I change my password?
Open your Profile page and use the "Change password" section — enter your current password and your new one (minimum 8 characters).
How do I delete my account?
Open your Profile page, scroll to "Delete account", and confirm with your password. This permanently erases your account and all associated flight data — it cannot be undone. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it first from the Profile page.
